On Easter Sunday I sat in the park and watched as the children played. Hiding something behind her back as she ran around laughing, I asked her to show me her secret. She held out bread.

How children act and react to the world as they achieve a sense of self is fascinating. This is evident in their patterns of play, displaying their engagement with the world.

Early childhood development psychologist’s asserted that play was a child’s work. This ongoing project stems from a curiosity of these worlds that we, as adults, are excluded from.
